biography

Juliette Goodwin lives and works in Baltimore, MD where she writes, makes web sites, videos and paintings. In 1989 Goodwin received her BFA in Painting/Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. An artist's assistant in New York during her time at college, and a floral designer in Chicago, New York, Washington, DC and Baltimore over the following ten years, her painting and palette bear witness to these influences. Invisible worlds of dust mites, dead flowers, exposed teeth and nerve endings and the apparent consciousness of inanimate popular cultural objects are hallmarks of her work.

Also a filmmaker and musician, her collaborations with other artists have included projects with Jerry Lim, Peter Quinn and Alix Lambert and the band Your Father's Moustache with Jerry Lim and Isaac Ramos. Goodwin's work has been exhibited in Chicago, New York and Baltimore.

Juliette has made Baltimore her home since 1998 when the desire to have her own apartment became larger than her need to live in New York. She now lives with her husband, twin daughters and two cats in a row house.
